The normally comical Blake Shelton held an air of reverence on Saturday night's Opry show (10/23), the night of his induction. The 10 year Country Veteran opened up the Grand Ole Opry's show with performing his latest #1 song "All About Tonight" which also signified his feelings about the night. On top of the importance of the night itself, Blake was the 1st Induction after the Grand Ole Opry's Re-Opening from the flood damages last May. Traveling through the Opry now the changes are extravagant in depth & detail which blew away Blake & the entire artist community.  From the locker conversion from metal to wood, the hallways exude in elegance, even the walls have a classier more sophisicated design. Each dressing room does have a grand theme, & inside the wooden locker room, multiple quotes from artists on what the Opry Membership means to them can be seen. Fellow Oklahoman, Garth Brooks' quote is very similar to what Blake says down below in our Media Interview with him. Inside the Opry's Green Room (where artists are held before performances) there is an extravagant mural, & photos from over the years of the Opry shows as well as the mark of where the water had risen inside the Opry house.

Opry greats Jeannie Seely, Steve Wariner & Jean Shepard performed & supported the younger singer in his induction, but the most important artist Blake wanted to be there was Trace Adkins. Time & time again Blake told the Opry GM/Vice President Pete Fisher & the media who he wanted to ask & induct him into the Opry. Trace was equally touched as he delivered Blake's WSM Opry Vintage Mic Replica award with a wooden base from the original Opry stage.  The man of the hour was showered with praise from Trace Adkins, saying "This man is truly Country...him & his girlfriend dip from the same snuff..." Even though it was comical, there was deep sincerity in every word Trace had to say.  Trace & Blake performed their #1 together of "Hillbilly Bone" & both guys sang their hearts out, on their respective parts & range.  Trace also performed his songs as a solo act including his current single "This Ain't No Love Song" & the oldie but goodie "Every Light In the House is On," which the over 6 foot Country crooner perfected in his baritone vocals.  After Blake opened up the show, he was taken to the media backstage where we were able to ask him a few questions about the night & his feelings on the singer's 10 year old career.
